Hey there, my name is Ziyi! But most people just call me Beartie because of username reasons. I'm a genderqueer freelancing digital artist living in Minneapolis, and I specialize in character design and character illustrations!

I'm bilangually fluent in Chinese and English (surprise surprise), and I graduated from university in 2021 with a degree in East Asian Studies, as well as Strategic Communication. That makes me sound qualified to run a semi-put together art site online I think. You can contact me in Chinese or English, I don't mind and can respond to both.

I've been drawing traditionally ever since I was a child in China, then continued onto digital art when I moved to the US in middle school. My favorite things to draw are OCs with strong personality quirks and shape language, cartoons, anime characters, cute round things, silly wizards, and honestly anything lgbt+ or POC-positive related! Especially anything with origins from East Asia. I'm a big believer in the benefits of media diversity, so I always try to do my part of making this world more colorful as an artist.

Also, I should say before following me on social media - despite my style bein pretty cartoony, I am not always sfw on my social media accounts, and have a sense of humor that only my closest friends tolerate. So that's your heads up before you follow me! Make good choices and don't make me your role model, laughs.
